i too had first lads holiday abroad in Lloret.
10 16/17 year olds let loose for the first time.
IT WAS CARNAGE.
At one point, my hotel room floor had sand, water (the shower leaked), blood, a few mates teeth, broken glass, sangria, beer, puke, shit and everything else you can imagine.
The mate who's teeth got knocked out (head but from another mate) then went proper mental and tried to stab his way through the door with a fork..
I think a few us got thrown out after the 2nd or 3rd nigh, but can't remember...would have been around 1984.

Feeling old as just worked out I went to Lloret de Mar on a boys holiday 38 years ago !
Great at the time of what sober moments I recall no drinking stamina in those days.

Only spent an afternoon there was working on some festival (low cost festival?) so just wandered about the beach area .
Plenty of bars shops restaurants etc but all a bit burger and chips.
Cheap enough tho - like lloret/costas.

Apart from Madrid and Barca I've only ever been southern Spain.
Benidorm old town is meant to be nice, and didn't Benidorm get a huge expensive face lift a while back?

I spent a day in Benidorm a few years ago. I can safely say I'll never go back there.
Hideous place.

Went to the Don Juan twice in the 80's - seem to remember it was the biggest hotel in mainland Spain at the time.
Absolutely loved it.

I'm in the H top palm beach - it's ok but the wrong side of the hill.
Wanted the casino Royal but oddly enough it was full.
